Over the years, I’ve read in several sources that morning is the time that your body wants to spend most of its energy on detoxification. This is a drink I discovered many years ago to help the body do just that, and it’s a great way to start your day.

Ingredients:
Boiling water – 6-8 oz.
Juice of 1 lime or 1/2 large lemon
1 tsp. honey (optional)
Instructions:
Juice one lime (or 1/2 lemon) into coffee cup.
Add honey to taste (optional)
Add hot water and stir.
This may well be the easiest thing you ever prepare in your kitchen. I recommend drinking this first thing in the morning. Then give your body at least ten minutes before consuming anything else.
