I love seafood, especially shellfish. And my favorite is shrimp. The video below documents my first attempt at a new recipe – Shrimp with Lemon Garlic Cream Sauce. I’m pleased to say that it turned out very well. (If not, you wouldn’t be reading this! LOL)
Ingredients
Shrimp – peeled and deveined
Olive oil
Fresh lemon juice
Garlic
Red Pepper Flakes (optional)
For sauce:
Heavy cream
Instructions
Peel and devein shrimp and set aside.
Roll lemons to soften and release juice. Cut lemons into halves.
Heat olive oil in large saute pan. Add garlic and red pepper flakes and heat for two minutes.
When oil is hot, add shrimp. Toss quickly to coat with oil.
While shrimp cook, add juice of several lemons to pan.
Continue to cook just until all shrimp are pink throughout. Set aside and keep warm, leaving all oil and lemon juice in the pan.
Slowly add cream to pan. Whisk briskly while adding.
To Serve:
In this video, I combined the sauce with the noodles before serving. You can also combine the sauce with the shrimp, serving both over plain pasta. Finally, you can pour sauce over pasta, then top with shrimp.
Garnish with sprinkle of parmesan cheese and red pepper flakes.
As I said in the video, the response was amazing. Everyone loved it, and Roger said it was the best dinner I’d done for them. And it’s NOT hard! You can do it, too. Just take your time and walk through the steps.
Have fun with this one, and don’t forget to play with your food!
